- Articulating audit universe to facilitate annual audit planning process
- Developing a risk based internal audit
plan for approval annually by relevant Audit Committees, implementing and
monitoring within pre-agreed budget
- Undertaking an ongoing
quality assurance and review program to ensure audits are performed in line
with required [company standards, within professional standards and ethical
guidelines, compliant with [audit methodology], as well as completed in an efficient,
effective and timely manner
- Attending relevant Audit
Committees/ Board meetings, and ensuring effective communication of risks,
issues and trends to relevant committees/ Board members through quality
reporting and presentation
- Providing independent and
objective assurance on proposals to help improve the management of risks,
enhance performance and identify business opportunities
- Overseeing the
whistle-blowing process and assisting in the investigation of suspected
fraudulent or illegal activities
- Reviewing the structure and
reporting arrangements of internal audit activities, and proposing changes to Group
and CEO, or the relevant Audit committees/
Boards where appropriate
- Significant contribution to making Internal Audit a good place to work;
and ensure Internal Audit staff members have the requisite knowledge, skills
- Co-ordinating the scope of work with external auditors where appropriate
- University degree in Accountancy/
Finance/ Business qualification or related disciplines
- Recognized accounting
(CPA, CA, CMA) or auditing (CIA, CISA) designation
- At least 8 to 10 years
of experience in a Finance/Audit role (audit experience is a must) within the
financial services industry, preferably in wealth management and life insurance
- Ability to manage and
deal with people of all levels with excellent interpersonal skill,
communication skill and time management skill
- Excellent written and
spoken in English and Chinese is a must
