risk-based monitoring program that is reasonably designed to identify materials
violations of applicable laws, regulations and internal standards
- Manage the relationship
with the regulators
- Establish a collaborative
partnership with distribution management and leaders to implement compliance
- Implement sales conduct
monitoring program for timely identification and rectification of distribution
- Lead sales conduct
- Performs specific statutory
responsibilities (i.e. Anti-Money Laundering Officer) and liaises with the
regulators, in cooperating with and properly responding to regulatory inquiries
and investigations, reporting matters, etc.
- Acts as the Data Privacy
Officer and provides advice and guidance of all topics, issues, and questions
around compliance with data privacy laws and regulations. Supports Senior and
Business Management and ensures that documented data privacy procedures are in
place for the relevant business processes to ensure compliance with the Group
legal and regulatory requirements.

officer to ensure compliance with the act and policies. According to the FATCA
regulation, the participating FFI must appoint a responsible officer to oversee
compliance with the requirements of the FFI agreement. The responsible officer
(or designee) must establish a compliance program that includes policies,
procedures, and processes sufficient for the participating FFI to satisfy the
requirements of the FFI agreement. The
responsible officer (or designee) must periodically review the sufficiency of
the FFI's compliance program and the FFI's compliance with the requirements of
an FFI agreement during the certification period. The results of the periodic
review must be considered by the responsible officer in making the periodic
- Assess CRS obligation in
relation to any new entity or product and present CRS in-scope entities and
products to senior management on an annual basis.
- University graduate
preferably in Finance, Business, Law, Economics or related disciplines
- Not less than 5 years
of experience in in-house all rounded compliance team in financial industry
(preferably in wealth Management or Insurance industry) and in managerial role.
- Sound knowledge of the regulations,
guidelines, ordinance implemented by SFC, IA and HKFI
- Experience in dealing
with regulators is preferable
- Detailed understanding
of life insurance/wealth management as well as the regulatory environment
- Strong commercial focus
and sound business acumen
- Good analytical,
negotiation and communication skills, training skill is a plus
- Excellent written and
spoken English and Chinese is definitely a plus
