The Group Foresight team drives all forward-looking analyses on current or future disruptions for the insurance industry. Subjects go from major social and economic trends to the future of health, including questions around digitalisation of insurance (AI, Blockchain, etc) and data protection. The team works with numerous internal and external experts to gather further insight, enrich its analyses, and ensure AXA’s visibility and positioning on tomorrow’s key issues.
The team reports to the Group Head of Foresight, who in turn reports to the Director of Public Affairs and Corporate Responsibility. It works closely with the AXA Research Fund to influence and keep up with research pursuits and to better understand the future of insurance.
 
Main Activities:
 
The senior foresight analyst will get the opportunity to work on extensive subjects including:
  • AXA's medium and long-term strategic outlook (including technological, legal, and social innovations).
  • The new technological and economic models emerging with Fintech and the collaborative economy.
  • Development of the digital economy (platforms, ethics of algorithms, protection of personal data, cybersecurity, etc.).
The position holder will focus on:
 
Monitoring and analysing all matters related to the digital and social transformation of insurance
  • HORIZON SCANNING: Monitoring the trends and weak signals that may impact AXA and its customers.
     
    • Following-up on the forward-looking activities of the European Commission, the European Parliament’s Foresight Department, and the foresight work of multiple bodies, including other companies and research institutions
    • Updating and enriching the team's foresight monitoring tools. 
  • FORESIGHT ANALYSIS: Drafting foresight notes.
     
    • Building possible scenarios exploring the political, technological or social disruptions identified
    • Drafting of short / medium / long-term action plans
 
Keynote speeches in internal and external conferences on foresight matters to secure the group’s upstream position on current and future disruptions
 
  • INTERNAL:
     
    • Organizing a Foresight Day at AXA
    • Making internal presentations to AXA entities to integrate and foster foresight for its business potential
    • Supporting AXA University  / HR Team (training, etc)
       
  • EXTERNAL:
     
    • Supporting the communication strategy overall from axa.com to more specific GSE-oriented feature stories
    • Representing AXA in foresight-oriented events: Panels, forums and the like
    • Giving talks at international conferences: Academic conferences and sectoral events among others

 
Profile:
 
You have a Bac +4/5 degree in Business Administration and / or Engineering, with a specialization in Political Science or Economics. You have a sound knowledge of new technologies (artificial intelligence, blockchain, IoT, etc.).
 
You have experience in corporate strategy, innovation, foresight and communication. You are forward thinking and able to propose solutions/ ideas.
 
You can take on and conduct extensive studies using strategic analysis, foresight methods and roadmap or scenario building tools.
 
You have a broad knowledge of the research landscape and know how to reuse current scientific knowledge within a company.
 
You have strong internal relationship-building skills:  a thorough knowledge of AXA Group and the ability to build networks.

  • A solid understanding of international economics, social issues and the new challenges presented by innovative technologies.
