Group Audit monitors and reviews the effectiveness of the internal control and risk management framework operated within the Group and directs the global internal audit teams to accomplish its objectives of providing independent and objective assurance on the effectiveness of risk management, internal control and governance processes.
The Group P&C Audit team performs internal audit reviews for International P&C entities (AXA Corporate Solutions, AXA Liabilities Managers, AXA Insurance Company, AXA Global P&C, AXA Africa Specialty Risks) as well as coordination of the P&C Audit Community and transversal reviews performed across the world by local internal audit teams.
 
Core Activities
 
1. Internal Audit reviews
  • Conduct internal audit reviews for International P&C business;
  • Participate to P&C transversal internal audit reviews with coordination of work performed by local internal audit teams;
  • Document audit work in the internal audit tool in accordance with our standards;
  • Write the audit report making recommendations on internal controls, operating efficiencies and governance processes being reviewed;
  • Present audit conclusions to Management;
  • Follow up audit findings and recommendations and monitor Management’s response and implementation;
 2. Audit standards
  • Develop and maintain audit programs;
  • Assist in preparation of papers for the Audit Committees as directed;
  • Help ensuring that the highest operational standards are consistently adopted across the Group;

 

3. Others

  • Develop and maintain professional relationships with management;
  • Provide assistance to the Audit management, preparing presentations on relevant topics as needed;
  • Be involved in discussing with Management and the adequacy of controls to address risks and ensure that Audit is regarded as a value-added function;
  • Participate to investigations when needed;
  • Identify training needs with respect to auditing approaches, tools and techniques and remain current through an on-going commitment to participation in learning and development.

Education:
Graduate specialising in Finance or Mathematics.
 
Experience:
5-year experience in :
  • a big 4 company with knowledge of insurance industry or
  • one of the following fields: Actuarial/Pricing/Reserving, Underwriting, Reinsurance, Claims management.
Technical skills:
  • Proficient in English and French (both essential)
  • Knowledge of Solvency 2 and IIA Standards
  • CIA certification would be a plus
  • Actuarial knowledge/certification would be a plus
Soft skills:
The applicant must:
  • Show a great ability to listen, a critical mind, a good analytical sense as well as capacity for synthesis
  • Be able to deal with sensitive and confidential audit issues using developed discretion and judgment, while maintaining independence and objectivity
  • Demonstrate capacity to anticipate obstacles and think about next steps
  • Possess strong (oral and writing) communication skills, ability to convince of the value of his / her opinions
  • Be result oriented with ability to focus on detailed tasks to achieve specified outcomes
  • Be concerned with service quality and implementation / follow up
  • Be able to work autonomously, be objective and rigorous in his / her approach.

Willing to travel for up to 30% of time.
