MAIN MISSIONS

 

  • Work with deal teams on deal structuring, financial analysis, pitches to Sellers and interacting with the actuarial, operations, integration and corporate finance teams on critical valuation components of deals

 

  • Provide different research and market studies for the M&A team: impact of Brexit, regulation and market trends in Asia and MEA, opportunities and legal constraints of the French market, factoring EU regulation

 

  • Managing Due Diligence phases: organizing and coordinating processes of several due diligence workstreams, be it at the target company’s location, with a virtual data room or at AXA LM offices

 

  • Variety of acquisition-related special tasks, e.g. analyse impact of market/regulatory trends relevant for run-off acquisitions, refine the due diligence methodology, analyse and propose an alternative offering for reinsurance assets transfer

 

  • Bringing all necessary support to the Business Development & Acquisitions team, including – but not limited to :
    • our CRM tool management “Salesforce”: manage the pipeline, keep the tool updated
    • prepare pitch supports adjusted to specific target and meeting partner, e.g., board members, regulators
    • support of communication of acquisition topics both internally for decisions (investment committee, investors) and externally (conferences, regulators)

PROFILE

 Education: University degree in Finance, Business Administration or Law

 

Experience: 2-3 years of Project Management experience, ideally with a combination of Finance, Reinsurance and/or M&A. Strong organizational and analytical skills: capacity to understand financial statements (P&L, balance sheet), and to produce solid financial analysis

 

Language skills:  Fluency in English. Another language would be appreciated

§  Strong analytical abilities to do reseach and multiple studies for the M&A team

 

§  Able to work autonomously, understand the big picture and provide high quality analysis

 

§  A good team player with the ability to set up, integrate into and support a medium-sized  (5-25 people) international due diligence team: good communication skill and excellent human relationship, with the ability to adapt him/herself to different levels of interlocutors and different situations

 

§  Skillful in autonomously developing management presentations (e.g. Powerpoint) summarizing key due diligence findings  

 

§  Highly motivated, able to balance several tasks and a fluctuating workload depending on the phases of the acquisition process

 

§  Willing to travel for due diligence to Europe/US

 

§  Interculturally experienced
