Purpose of the Role:


The role of the IT Vendor Management is to establish, maintain and evaluate vendor relationships to reduce risks, align with stakeholders, drive innovation and help deliver competitive advantages to the company. The IT vendor management supports sourcing strategy, vendor relationships, negotiations and performance management for defined IT suppliers.


Key Accountabilities:

  • Identifying and evaluating vendors adherence to SLA, cost, and performance
  • Collaborate with Procurement  technical and business teams for renewals and changes to existing agreements
  • Ensure renewals and terminations are managed according to contract terms
  • Host/Support vendor management reviews as needed
  • Executive briefings to Senior Leadership at regular intervals to help keep them current with changes and performance against existing agreements with vendors.
  • Manage Vendor Risk - Periodic and ad-hoc assessment of the vendors and to ensure that they are complying with agreed upon standards.
  • Manage Vendor Audits
  • Monitor Vendor Performance - Develop and maintain standard scorecard to measure vendor performance and communicate and address issues with appropriate stakeholders
  • Review Vendor Payments - Coordinate activities between Finance, and Vendors to ensure all invoices are raised & paid in accordance with vendor agreements
  • Budgeting & Forecasting - Ensure appropriate stakeholders are informed of contract additions / terminations to enable accurate budget forecasting
  • Coordinates Request for Information and Request for Proposal Processes
  • Negotiate and interpret Service Level Agreements
  • Manage Performance Metrics, incentives and penalties
  • Provide ongoing financial analysis of supplier invoicing


Experience / Qualification:

  • Typically require a tertiary qualification in an IT discipline or related field
  • Strong wroking experience in Vendor Management
  • Ability to collaboratively and positively influence suppliers, customers and internal team members
  • Able to manage and motivate suppliers and key constituent groups
  • Proven track record in developing and executing plans, influencing skills, managing projects and leading collaborative relationships in a cross-functional team environment
  • Able to multi-task and prioritize work load supporting multiple projects
  • Effectively work with senior leadership
  • Willingness to challenge the status quo
  • Excellent oral and written communications
  • Effective leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in MS Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio)
