Primary mission:
As Project manager, you will be responsible for the successful implementation of the 3rd party solution selected by AXA to support the Group internal control framework globally. You will coordinate the teams involved in AXA (Group and local entities) and be the key contact for the vendor and its project team.
Overall the solution will:
  • Ensure a consistent approach of Internal Control across the Group
  • Provide strong reporting capabilities to actually monitor the control environment at all level of the organization
  • Provide internal control teams with a solution covering the entire internal control life cycle (define tests plans and assessment campaigns, perform testing, report on the status of the control environment)
  • Empower line managers in the operations to design, operate and monitor the controls they need to mitigate risks in their activities
  • Streamline interaction of the risks and controls functions with operations
The project will be spread over several years with a staged approach and the project manager is in charge of ensuring scope evolution, both in terms of functionalities to ultimately cover ERM scope and in terms of territories to ultimately cover the AXA Group.
Key accountabilities
Ensure the functional requirements are clearly documented supporting the implementation of Internal Control framework in line with AXA Requirements.
  • Detailed functional specifications in coordination with other Group internal control teams members
  • Identification of all necessary contributions of AXA teams (functional and IT) and lead workshops
  • Supervision of prototyping, proof of concepts, functional testing …
  • Definition of target users profiles
  • Definition of appropriate change management and training
  • Definition of service support to users
  • Definition of changes request approval process
Project management :
  • Organisation, coordination and animation of all contributors to the project (Group and local entities)
  • Coordination of validation processes and quality assurance over validation provided
  • Continuous project supervision and escalation of issues along implementation cycles
  • Project management practice in line with AXA Project management standard
  • Reporting to project committees incl on budget vs quality vs on-time delivery
Functional administration
  • Ensure evolution of the system when implemented, especially regarding changes in parameters, reporting, user access management for the Group
  • Assist local functional administrators in their duties
  • Serve as a key contact between the central team and the lines of business, the internal control officers in subsidiaries, IT Group and local teams as well as the vendor product and project teams to address issues as needed.

Technical and professional skills:
  • Strong project management skills, in international and complex organisation
  • Ability to interact and dialog with IT professionals and vendor experts
  • Ability to design, implement and operate a Group wide reporting process
  • Knowledge in internal control or risk management or audit practices
  • Fluent written and spoken English
  • Fluent French recommended
