Group Senior Internal Financial Controller – Solvency II P3 leader

In his/her role, the candidate will have to:
 
  • Actively contribute to the project of the extension of IFC Solvency II to Pillar III:
    • Develop a deep understanding of AXA Pillar III framework and process; both at Group and local levels
    • Lead the working group together with her/ his manager and coordinate the pilot entities participating with both local IFC and production teams;
    • Drive the project, monitor the road map initially defined, organize the regular meetings, follow-up the status and ensure a smooth and clear flow of information within the working group
    • Ensure the collaboration within the working group and the contribution of the pilot entities to reach the project’s goal
    • Define the key risks and the processes
    • Define the set of key controls to ensure that the key risks related to AXA Pillar III processes are covered
    • Define the evidences for each key control and the testing procedure
    • Create the risk and control matrices containing the key risks, processes, controls, evidences and the testing procedure
    • Ensure the risk and control matrices are collectively agreed within the working group
       
  • In addition to Solvency II Pillar III, be involved in the traditional programme over IFC / Solvency Pillar I and Pillar II.
     
  • Become, after a period of adaptation, the “liaison manager” for some entities of the AXA Group regarding IFRS and Solvency II IFC programme.
     
  • Participate and organize communication actions to raise IFC awareness within the Group (e.g. IFC working days, IFC manual, IFC induction course)

Technical and professional skills
 
  • Good understanding of the insurance business (organization, risks, processes and financial reporting)
     
  • Good understanding on Solvency II aspect and the Internal Model of AXA would be appreciated
     
  • Good understanding of internal control
     
  • Proven experience in international and transversal project management
     
  • Effective communication and writing in English
     
     
    Interpersonal skills
     
    The candidate must be able to work in an international environment and with a great number of interlocutors (including high level executives)
     
    S/he must be well motivated, dynamic, structured, flexible and curious
     
    S/he must be result-oriented, able to anticipate and timely solve problems
     
    Team spirit is a must
     
    Management skills
     
    At least 7 to 10 years in a transversal role within Finance or Risk Management; an audit background would be appreciated.
     
Ability to lead projects of cross-department and cross-countries teams
