The Department


The internship will take place in the Group Procurement Team of the AXA Headquarters, whithin the Insurance Procurement sub-team, based in Paris 8th or 17th arrondissement.

The intern will report to one of the Insurance Procurement managers in charge of reporting as well as several cost and quality of service optimization global initiatives.

The intern will work in a multicultural environment. He/She will interact on regular basis with experts from other functional departments of the AXA Group (IT project managers, entities reporting teams, Indian back-office…). Few travels in Belgium, Germany, Switzerland or Italy might be necessary.



Role and Responsibilities :


Support the operational and financial reporting of Insurance Procurement initiatives impacts.

  • Support the creation and deployment of the global operational and financial monthly KPIs (Key ¨Performance Indicators) reporting of a new business unit, operating in a start-up mode with up to 6 different countries. Among other tasks:
    • Together with IT BI (Business Intelligence) teams, contribute to:
      • the Complementary inventory of specific local business units needs
      • the Reporting detailed indicators definition and selection
      • the Reporting design for senior global management, local management
      • the Definition of operational monitoring reports
      • the Contributions to facilitate data reconciliation processes with accounting information
    • Preparation and integration of Budget references
    • Ad-hoc MI (Management Information) analyses
    • Overall reporting process definition and tasks descriptions (excluding IT dimensions)
    • Users and contributors training material creation
  • Support the deployment of a new reporting database on Insurance Procurement and Claims Transformation KPIs, for mature P&C (Property & Casualty) insurance business segments
    • Ensure integrity of the historical  data within the new reporting templates
    • Design new reports
    • Challenge and improve users documentation and training materials which will be designed by Indian teams in charge of the new database and reporting set-up and integration
    • Document the creation process of occasional reports formerly created on an ad-hoc basis
    • Check reporting consolidation by the outsourced team in India
    • Contribute to the production of senior management synthetic quarterly reporting

Profile Requirements :

Education :

  • Last year of Business school / MBA or Gap Year


Expected skills :

  • Fluent in French and in English
  • Other appreciated languages : German, Spanish, Italian
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Ability to dig deeply into granular data dimensions and details, while keeping a high level focus
  • Significant prior experience and proficiency with Excel pivot tables, advanced functions (Vlookup, Index, Indirect, Target values…), macros
  • Flexibility to use alternative tools: Access, Tableau.

Within the internship, the intern will strengthen its competencies and experience in Project management, P&C insurance claims management processes and ecosystem (experts, repairers, third party providers…), offshoring/outsourcing working modalities…
