The Group’s Internal Audit function provides the Group Audit Committee and the Group’s Management Committee with independent and objective assurance on the effectiveness of internal control and risk management across the Group.  The Group’s Global Head of Audit reports to the Chairman of the AXA Group Audit Committee with an administrative reporting line to the Group’s Chief Executive Officer.  Group Internal Audit operates across all AXA regions and comprises around 500 members of staff.


The Global Operations Office within Group Audit Head Office is responsible for:

  • Coordinating Internal Audit operations across the globe;
  • Driving convergence of working practice and identifying areas of continuous improvement;
  • Consolidating, analysing and summarising key Internal Audit data for senior stakeholders and Group-level reporting;
  • Coordinating and managing quality assurance;
  • Managing Internal Audit’s global IT system.

Primary mission:


The Internal Audit Reporting, Quality and Budget Manager is responsible for


  • Organising periodic reporting for AXA Group senior management and committees;
  • Preparing ad hoc reports required by Internal Audit senior management
  • Undertaking internal quality assurance over work performed by the function and providing support to the external quality assurance programme
  • Controlling the budget for the global AXA Internal Audit function. 

Key accountabilities:


Responsible for:

  • Organising and producing periodic reporting for AXA Group senior management
  • Analysing global data and interacting with global stakeholders
  • Identifying, summarising and presenting key themes and trends
  • Evaluating requests for ad hoc Internal Audit data analytics
  • Developing reporting capability in Business Objects (BO)
  • Implementing consistent reporting processes and reports
  • Reviewing audit reports for adherence to global writing principles and standards
  • Sampling audits, performing and reporting quality checks both that process has been followed and that documentation supports the audit approach, conclusions and report
  • Identifying common areas requiring methodology changes, clarifications or improvements required in achieving consistent implementation
  • Overseeing the global framework for budget control to safeguard the function’s independence.



Technical and professional skills:
  • Ability to meet deadlines while managing multiple projects;
  • Autonomous and objective;
  • Ability to manipulate data, and develop and enhance reports using BO;
  • Thorough, with attention to detail;
  • Fluent in French and English;
  • Accounting knowledge would be plus.
Soft skills and competencies:
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Problem solving and change capability;
  • Analytical and pragmatic mindset;
  • Schedule management.
Background and experience:
  • At least five years of experience in an audit role, preferably within financial services;
  • Familiarity with BO or analytics tools
  • Master degree, relevant professional qualification or equivalent work experience.
