The Department


Alongside the Strategy and Public Affairs teams, the Corporate Responsibility Department works to support AXA’s long-term strategy and mission to protect by leveraging the Group’s risk expertise to build a stronger and safer society. 


Key objectives for the Department include:

  • Supporting AXA’s status as a trustworthy brand and responsible corporate citizen through leadership on a full range of environmental, social, and governance (ESG) issues, embedding ESG into core business processes
  • Engaging and collaborating with external stakeholders from civil society on issues of strategic importance to AXA’s business
  • Reinforcing AXA’s understanding of key environmental, social, and ethical trends in society, helping to envision the role of insurance in society in the future, and informing the work of both Group Strategy and Public Affairs.
Role and Responsibilities :
Within this department, you will support the Corporate Responsibility team in the following areas: 


Community investment

  • Support AXA’s overall community investment programme, particularly in relation to the group’s cultural philanthropy projects
  • Oversee both new and existing projects within the community investment programme (including management of contacts with beneficiaries and internal stakeholders)
  • Support external reporting of community investment spending /projects and communication, liaising with AXA’s group communications teams to raise awareness of the group’s community investment programme, both internally and externally.
  • Alongside group communications, support organization of AXA’s worldwide 2016 Corporate Responsibility Week (bringing together employee volunteering initiatives from AXA’s local entities in support of the theme ‘risk prevention’)
CR Communications
  • Within the group’s intranet (ONE), create, manage, and grow the CR Community’s presence through blogs, wikis, forums and workspaces, focusing on : risk research & education, AXA Hearts in Action (AXA’s international volunteering program), environment, responsible investment and micro-insurance
    Specifically, this will be done by:
    • Supporting the CR team in writing blog posts, articles, newsletters, videos etc. for use on the intranet
    • Working with both internal providers and the group’s external communications agency to ensure appropriate content for the CR Community
    • Identifying communications opportunities within the group CR team and communicating these to the AXA Editorial Committee
  • Where possible, support implementation of AXA’s partnerships strategy, particularly in health and climate resilience by providing occasional research, advice and analysis; you may also be required to prepare or provide input to speaking points and presentations for senior management and /or help in organizing upcoming meetings of AXA’s Stakeholder Advisory Panel.

Profile Requirements :


You should display a keen interest in, and knowledge of, current sustainable development issues and their relevance in a corporate environment. You should also possess the following skills and competencies:


  • Fluent in both English and French
  • Writing skills and good mastery of Power Point and Word
  • Ability to work with other departments, disciplines and external parties
  • Ability to communcate clearly and persuasively
  • At ease in a multi-cultural working environment
You should also be able to work autonomously, with both flexibility and commitment.
