The role of the Group IFC team is to ensure the effectiveness of the Internal Control over Financial Reporting (ICOFR) for the AXA Group, and manage its yearly IFRS certification. The Group IFC programme covers the 19 biggest entities of the Group in terms of risks, total assets & operating income.
 
Starting from 2013 as a part of the internalization of the Internal Model Review, the IFC team has extended the IFC framework to Solvency II processes (Pillar I, i.e. AFR and STEC calculations, Pillar II/ Transversal and IT related topics) with a first validation exercise at FY14.
 
In 2016, the IFC Solvency II Pillar III project started. The objective is to extend IFC Solvency II to Pillar III and to build an effective internal control framework over SII Pillar III in order to provide comfort to the Top Management and the supervisor
 
Job position
 
Within the Group IFC team, the candidate will be a member of the Solvency II team, in charge of extending the IFC Solvency to Pillar III.
 
Main responsibilities
 
In his/her role, the candidate will have to:
 
  • Actively contribute to the project of the extension of IFC Solvency II to Pillar III:
    • Develop a deep understanding of AXA Pillar III framework and process; both at Group and local levels
    • Lead the working group together with her/ his manager and coordinate the pilot entities participating with both local IFC and production teams;
    • Drive the project, monitor the road map initially defined, organize the regular meetings, follow-up the status and ensure a smooth and clear flow of information within the working group
    • Ensure the collaboration within the working group and the contribution of the pilot entities to reach the project’s goal
    • Define the key risks and the processes
    • Define the set of key controls to ensure that the key risks related to AXA Pillar III processes are covered
    • Define the evidences for each key control and the testing procedure
    • Create the risk and control matrices containing the key risks, processes, controls, evidences and the testing procedure
    • Ensure the risk and control matrices are collectively agreed within the working group
       
  • In addition to the extension of  IFC / Solvency II Pillar III, be involved in the IFC / Solvency Pillar I and Pillar II program in order to understand the methodology, the principles and quickly be able to support the rest of the team
     
  • Participate and organize communication actions to raise IFC awareness within the Group (e.g. IFC working days, IFC manual, IFC induction course)

Technical and professional skills 
  • Good understanding of the insurance business (organization, risks, processes and financial reporting)
  • Good understanding on Solvency II aspect and the Internal Model of AXA would be appreciated
  • Good understanding of internal control
  • Proven experience in international and transversal project management
  • Effective communication and writing in English
Interpersonal skills 
  • The candidate must be able to work in an international environment and with a great number of interlocutors
  • S/he must be well motivated, dynamic, structured, flexible and curious
  • S/he must be result-oriented, able to anticipate and timely solve problems
  • Team spirit is a must 
Management skills
 
At least 4 to 5 years in a transversal role within Finance or Risk Management; an audit background would be appreciated.
