The Officer position requires an individual of at least 10 years of advanced markets,public speaking, writing, and analytical experience
_ The Officer should have extensive public speaking experience covering ERISA, advanced markets topics for continuing legal, professional education in the retirement services industries
_ An in-depth knowledge of ERISA arrangements affecting the use of retirement products in the resolution of complex sales and service issues is essential
_ A complete and thorough knowledge of the sales process in general, as well as a thorough knowledge of the sales process in the retirement plans market is imperative
_ Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential
_ A law degree (ie. JD, LLM, Masters of Tax) is required with advanced or other professional designations are preferred
_ A superior level of understanding of the IRS tax code relating to Employer Sponsored Plans
_The ability to interact with all levels of personnel in the organization as well as the management/problem resolution skills are also necessary
_FINRA Series 6,63, and 26 required

Recruit, train, retain, and manage a staff of technical plan design specialists ranging from Grades 22 to 60 and ERISA Compliance Specialists. The position may ultimately hire additional attorneys if approved. In addition, this position will provide oversight of PlanConnect TPA and provide regulatory and legislative guidance to the field and support staff. As an officer of the division, the position will have travel requirements, particularly within the Employer Sponsor Groups, participate in Industry Conferences and participate in client facing meetings (pre/post). The Officer will participate in business plan development for Employer Sponsored Markets. The Officer, with the assistance of other Employer Sponsored personnel, will assist in the design and implementation of Advanced Market Strategies within his or her areas of expertise. This responsibility will include training, marketing, and support of Plan Connect TPA. The Officer will develop and deliver training material, identify sales opportunities and Regulatory and Legislative updates in his or her expertise to Employer Sponsored Division and AXA Advisors. The Officer must possess good judgment relative to risk management issues and develop a strong working relationship with AXA-Equitable's law and compliance departments.
