Primary mission
You will join the Market Risk team within the central functions of the AXA Group. The team's main responsibility is to monitor and manage the financial risks supported by the AXA Group and its subsidiaries, in particular interest rate, liquidity and derivatives risks.
The Financial Risk Analyst has to:
  • Take charge of the counterparty risk management of the AXA Group
  • Produce risk monthly and quarterly risk reports for the team
Core activities
Counterparty Risk Management
Define Group Policy on Counterparty Risk
  • Define and update the counterparty risk policy and methodology
  • Manage limits, breaches and exemptions
  • Benchmark the Group policy and methodology with industry practice and regulation
Manage Risk and Regulation
  • Prepare on-demand reporting or analyses for relevant stakeholders (regulator, auditor, etc)
  • Refine modeling of counterparty risk for AXA internal model
  • Support coordination and implementation of new derivatives regulations (including EMIR, Dodd Frank)
Manage and Improve Reporting Process
  • Take charge of the monthly Group counterparty risk reporting
  • Work closely with local providers (incl. AXA IM, AXA Bank) to ensure quality and timeliness
  • Design, develop and improve the reporting, monitoring and analysis tools
Financial Risk Reporting
Manage Risk Reporting for the Team
  • Produce risk reports, including quarterly Risk Appetite and liquidity risk reports, monthly interest risk reports
  • Manage organization (providers, calendar, production) to ensure reporting quality and timeliness
  • Check data received from AXA local subsidiaries, interact with providers
Improve Processes and Tools
  • Design, develop and improve the reporting, monitoring and analysis tools
Support Team on Financial Risk Monitoring
  • Prepare on-demand reporting or analyses for relevant stakeholders (regulator, auditor, etc)
  • Support other team members on governance and organization of financial risk management

Technical and professional skills (technical expertise):
  • Knowledge of financial markets and derivatives
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel/VBA
  • Fluent written and spoken English
  • Fluent French recommended
