AXA’s Emerging Customer team is composed of members at both the Group and Regional (Asia and Mediterranean & Latin America regions) levels. It is in charge of driving the execution of AXA’s micro-insurance strategy, which aims at protecting lower income populations who are progressing economically towards becoming tomorrow’s emerging middle class across high growth markets.
The Emerging Customers team supports local entities in the roll-out of their micro-insurance operations through partnership-building, product development, operations optimisation amongst others.
This business model leverages the expertise of MicroEnsure, the micro-insurance specialist player in which AXA has taken an equity stake (46%). When relevant, the emerging customer’s team facilitates the collaboration between MicroEnsure and AXA’s entities.
End clients priorities are central to the AXA Emerging Customers team: we anticipate changing social and individual needs and tailor our products and services accordingly. We are meeting these needs by developing innovative solutions that leverage cutting-edge technologies.
The Emerging Customers team is looking for a profile with strong interest in the financial inclusion space willing to perform a 6 months internship as a business analyst. The primary mission will be to follow-up on the overall financial and operational performance of the business, as well as the generation of new market development opportunities
Support the annual planning process, action plan and report generation
Generate and continuously improve information dashboards that facilitate access to data across entities
Track and monitor all on-going programs on a quarterly basis against their forecast and actual delivery and business case baseline
Coordination with all involved stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate reporting
Produce clear, accurate and concise documentation, that facilitates decision making at all levels of the organization
Develop in-depth studies of specific topics relating to the emerging customers space (alternative distribution channels, market entry)
Support business development
Generate required financial analyses and models that support new business generation
Prepare discussion material to present the Emerging Customers offer to any potential partner
Professional and technical skills
Student with Convention de Stage, on its final masters year
Process oriented, an organiser with strong planning ability and attention to detail
Strong time keeping skills, efficient, autonomous
Capacity to consolidate and summarize information from varied sources
Analytical skills / ability to evolve in a complex and diverse technical environment;
Fluent in English - both written and spoken; French language skills optional but preferred;
MS Office: Word, Excel (including pivot tables, working with databases), Power Point, Outlook – advanced level (obligatory)
