"AXA is naturally interested in the aspirations of the community, beginning with those that are closely tied to its core Financial Protection business for obvious reasons of legitimacy and expertise.
Protecting individuals and companies, but also helping them be life confident by developing and passing on their accumulated wealththis is the way we see our business.
Embedded in the long term, our business contributes to economic and social development in the communities where we live and work. We conduct our business responsibly, and around the world we adhere to a consistent set of values and commitments to our stakeholdersclients, shareholders, employees and the community. We develop philanthropic initiatives that help fight social exclusion, prevent risks, promote education and safeguard our shared heritage. I am proud of the AXA employees who take part in these initiatives."
Henri de Castries, Chairman of the AXA management board.
AXA's commitment to Corporate Philanthropy and the community
Our approach to philanthropy expresses our commitment to responsible corporate citizenship in the societies in which our clients, employees and shareholders work and live. We have a three-pronged approach to philanthropy that is consistent with our core Financial Protection business, and that involve making both resources and expertise available to those in need of them.
Today, philanthropy at AXA mobilizes our people and embodies our values. The practice of philanthropy is yet another way that we can help people be life confident.
In addition to AXA's philantropy and road safety programmes, AXA conducts initiatives benefitting local communities based on its local presence and through its fiscal and human resources contributions, as well as through the development of microfinance products. The Group is also formalising its relations with local stakeholders in order to better integrate itself in the local community.
