Community : Responsibility towards civil society
As a responsible corporate citizen, AXA strives to play a positive role in society, by building a culture that promotes employee volunteering to support the communities in which we operate. We are also committed to sharing our business expertise by helping to build better understanding of the risks faced by individuals and society at large.
AXA's contribution to the community includes the following:
- Risk research and education, in particular through the AXA Research Fund, which supports scientific research contributing to understand and prevent Environmental, Life and Socio-economic risks, and the partnership with CARE, an international humanitarian NGO and the non-profit organization Junior Achievement.
- Volunteer work, carried out through the AXA Hearts in Action international solidarity organization for 20 years. In 2012, over 26,000 employees volunteered in charity projects around the world. AXA has donated more than 60,900 working hours to allow employees to be involved in such initiatives.
- Cultural philanthropy which aims at making art from private collections accessible to the public, offering the French nation an important piece of its cultural heritage and helping museums to enrich its collections.
- Stakeholder dialogue
