Earthquake in Haiti: AXA and its employees donate over €1.3 million to charities

After the devastating earthquake that struck Haiti on January 12, we announced that the Group had organized a call for donations in all AXA entities and decided to match the funds raised among employees. Focus on the results of this operation and an assessment of the situation.

Following the final consolidation of donations, an additional €62,100 were donated by employees to local charities supporting Haiti, bringing the total to €668,100. Having decided to match the funds raised among employees, an equivalent amount, i.e. €62 100, in addition to the €606,000 already donated on February 12, 2010, were given to the Red Cross, for their relief activities in the country.
