Admical, the French association for the development of commercial and industrial philanthropy, has just awarded its Oscars for 2007. And this has been a good year for AXA, winning the top prize. Spotlight on this excellent external recognition...
Admical's Oscars reward and honor philanthropic businesses for their exemplary policy based on several criteria, including their lasting commitment, their original approach, the commitment of their employees or the relative scale of the means implemented.
To compete for these awards, businesses wishing to see their corporate philanthropy commitment recognized had up until December to submit a report of around 20 pages setting out their policy for 2006/2007. Out of all the reports received, only 10 candidates were shortlisted and eligible to present their programs to Admical's independent panel of judges, made up of prominent figures from the business, press, culture, solidarity, environment or sporting worlds.
Before a panel chaired by Martin Hirsch, the chairman of Emmaüs France, AXA was awarded the Admical Oscar for best corporate philanthropist.
This Oscar was awarded to the Group during a ceremony held in honor of the various philanthropic businesses, organized as part of the international Admical corporate philanthropy conference held in Lille on March 28, 2007.
Congratulations to all 17.000 AXA volunteers without whom this award could not have been won!
