AXA France announces the acquisition of Nationale Suisse Assurance

On July 23, AXA France announced the signature of an agreement to acquire full ownership of Nationale Suisse Assurance, the french affiliate of the insurance group Nationale Suisse.

Nationale Suisse Assurance has been operating in France since 1965. In 2006, the company posted gross revenues of €101.5 million in P&C - mainly auto and homeowners' insurance, as well as in individual and professional health insurance.

This acquisition will provide AXA France with an additional 150 odd tied agents and 250 brokers to its distribution network.

The closing of this operation is subject to french regulatory approval.
