The 33rd* FIAC will take place in the heart of Paris, at two prestigious venues: the Grand Palais and the Cour Carrée du Louvre. More than 160 French and international galleries will display their works on the occasion of this key event for contemporary art, in which AXA Art is a partner.
A partner that stands out from its peers, since for the first time this year, AXA Art is offering all collectors free insurance for their new purchases at the FIAC. This is a first and one that will please art lovers. But that's not all...
While contemporary art continues to attract the public and collectors without let-up, concerns over its conservation are becoming increasingly critical and require careful forethought. In response to this, AXA Art is organizing a roundtable on October 26 at the FIAC on the theme of the restoration of contemporary art.
Why this theme? Because AXA Art is working with London's Tate Modern museum of contemporary art. The company is sponsoring research work over a three-year period (2006-2008) by a team of scientists from the museum on the conservation of acrylic paints in contemporary painting. The conference will provide an occasion to present the state of advancement of studies underway by the Tate Modern team.
Since encouraging, fostering and supporting the creation of innovative collections is AXA Art's credo, this special insurance company is right at home at the FIAC.
