AXA Life Japan entered into a distribution partnership with Mitsui Life, the 7th largest life insurer in Japan in terms of premium income & other receipts. Mitsui Life was entrusted to solicit activities from AXA Life and started distributing AXA Life's product as of the end of August through its proprietary sales channel of approximately 10,000 sales staff. Mitsui Life will distribute the Long Term Personal Accident (LTPA) product, developed and currently sold by AXA Life Japan, under the exclusive name "Esprit", to support businesses through accident protection and the preparation of funds. This partnership should allow Mitsui Life to strengthen its product line-up and thereby serve the needs of its existing customers, especially small and medium-size corporate customer segment.

Mitsui Life will use AXA Life's sales agent support network and infrastructure in order to efficiently provide customers with product offers and administrative procedures.

In the future, both companies will investigate the opportunities to expand the cooperation in by providing products to each other.

The partnership, and more particularly, the sales representation of insurance products, has just received regulatory approval.
